Dancehall artiste Adidja Palmer known as Vybz Kartel feels he, is being targeted and strongly believes that there are some persons who are conspiring to see him locked behind bars again.

In recent reports the deejay, expressed that "he feels like someone, or a group of people are conspiring to try to get him arrested.  He continued to say that on Monday, he got a call from a friend who works at Greater Portmore Police Station telling him that there is a rumor going on that, he put out a hit on a police at the station and that he should try to clear his name. Kartel immediately called his lawyer and informed her of the news and she said she was going to call the station to query the matter."

The deejay further stated; "Somebody trying to set him up but that don't mean he has a grudge because whether it is a routine check on the road, traffic violation or even questions and answers, the cops and I have never had a bad encounter."

 Kartel was among a list of six men who were described, as a 'major person of interest' and asked to turn themselves into police custody on June 29, Kartel turned himself into police custody, during the time of the imposed state of emergency, he was released two weeks later, just in time for the Reggae Sumfest Show.
